Trudy B. Guffey is the Executive Assistant for the NC Board of Science and Technology.  Trudy’s primary duties for the Board include administrative support for the Executive Director and other staff, administrative management for the Board, and organizing quarterly board meetings.  She also assists in administering the Board’s two grant programs – the One North Carolina Small Business Program and the North Carolina Green Business Fund.

Trudy moved Raleigh in 1977 and began her career in state government.  Trudy has worked with the Board of Science and Technology for 19 years and has 30 years of service with the State of North Carolina, which includes several years spent in the Department of Health and Human Services, the Department of Administration, including the Governor’s Office, and now in the Department of Commerce.
 
Trudy is a native of Stanley, North Carolina and she and her husband, who also has 30 years of service with state government, lives in Knightdale and enjoy spending time with family and traveling.
